Loucoumi

Commonly known as Greek or Turkish Delight, this confection is a chewy gel of sugar and starch, peppered with any combination of dried fruits and nuts. The traditional flavor bases include rosewater and mastic (a fennel/mint/pine-flavored spice). These cubed treats are dusted with sugar and make pretty dessert platters.
