MARCO POLO Grande Fettuccine
“Fettuccine” means “little ribbons” in Italian. There are countless variations on Fettuccine Alfredo: a classic pasta sauce made with Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, butter, heavy cream, chopped parsley and of course, fettuccine noodles! A touch thinner than Tagliatelle, Fettucine are long flat ribbons of egg noodles that pair beautifully with cream, tomato and meat sauces. At Marco Polo, our Grande Fettuccine is made with Durum wheat semolina and farm fresh eggs. Our Grande Fettuccine have just the right surface area to absorb the goodness of meaty ragùs and Alla Vodka, Alla Carbonara and Alle Vongole sauces. For a delicious vegetarian meal, roast veggies like brussels sprouts, cauliflower and sweet potato in bite-sized pieces, seasoned with salt and pepper. On your stovetop, sauté minced garlic in olive oil with diced onions. Once the onions have caramelized, add the roasted veggies to the sauté pan, along with the cooked pasta. Toss and serve with grated parmesan cheese. Or, enjoy the pasta with a tomato sauce of sautéed onions, mushrooms, spinach and Italian sausage.
