Tubetti are small hollow tubes of pasta classically used in soups. Known as “Kofto” in Greek, this delicious hollow pasta is also the perfect shape for a wide array of sauces and casseroles. At Misko, we have been making traditional Italian-style pasta in Greece since 1927. In Greece, Tubetti are sometimes used in the classic dish known as “Youvetsi” or “Giouvetsi.” Each family has its own version of this heartwarming casserole, often made with ground lamb or beef, bathed in a light tomato sauce (sometimes seasoned with garlic and cinnamon) and topped with cheese. If you love noodles in your soup, Misko Tubetti are a natural for classic Minestrone. Our Kofto are a wonderful noodle for Pasta e Fagioli soup, made with cannellini beans, tomato and garlic and for White Bean and Escarole soup, infused with garlic and parmesan cheese. Because our Tubetti are kid-sized, your young ones will love them in mac and cheese or with tomato sauce. For a quick and easy family-style side dish or meal, serve Misko Kofto al dente with sautéed onions, peas, mushrooms and grated parmesan cheese.
